Head to the ‘Beazley Designs of the Year’ exhibition at Kensington’s Design Museum to discover the most innovative designs from the last 12 months, as nominated by the public and design experts from across the globe!
Now in its twelfth year, this annual exhibition celebrates the most novel and exciting products, ideas and designers in the world today – and this year’s acclaimed exhibits are not to be missed: “The wacky and the wonderful, life-saving or just mind-changing…these are the people designing our future” (Channel 4 News).
Nominators select the designs that most inspire, represent change in their field, or that best capture our particular moment in history, across a range of different categories: see Architecture innovations such as a vast $500 million arts centre on wheels; discover how contemporary Graphic Design explores the politics and power of communication; see Fashion nominees recognising and designing for all bodies; and, in Transport, witness everything from electric flying cards and 3D-printed motorcycles, to – top priority for many city dwellers – innovative designs to improve road safety for cyclists.
This impressive exhibition runs until 31st March 2020 – and, with the Design Museum a mere 15-minute walk from us at the Mercure Kensington, you couldn’t design an easier journey!
