Celebrate the magic of Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall this year, with an enormously diverse festive programme running from 3rd to 31st December! Whether you’re after traditional concerts and carols, solo stars, or a spectacular ballet, there’s plenty to whet your appetite.

The season kicks off with Bloodwise’s Christmas Extravaganza on 3rd December: expect Christmas carols, traditional sing-a-longs and plenty of Christmas cheer, as some of the biggest names in music and musical theatre perform alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Enjoy seasonal favourites like Christmas with the Salvation Army or Guy Barker’s Big Band Christmas; catch celebrity stars with Emma Bunton’s Christmas Party and Trever Nelson’s Soul Christmas; or enjoy Christmas classics such as Handel’s Messiah or Carols at the Royal Albert Hall.

If you’d rather more than just music, why not watch spectacular, festive ballet The Nutcracker? Or, for something a little different, try ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ in Concert, where you can watch this iconic film whilst listening to John Williams’ Academy Award-winning score, played live by the BBC Concert Orchestra.

There’s plenty to keep children entertained, too: join interactive adventure The Legend of the Jazz Penguin; join the singing and dancing in My Christmas Orchestral Adventure; and even discover Father Christmas himself in theatrical walk-around Father Christmas at the Hall, where you’ll encounter all sorts of enchanting characters and magic on your way to meet Father Christmas, as the North Pole is brought to life through puppetry and live music!

These heart-warming events are sure to leave you feeling festive; and, with such a varied programme, there’s something for every taste. Best of all, the Royal Albert Hall is just a short walk away from us at the Mercure London Kensington, making these events the icing on the (Christmas) cake during your stay with us.
